Follower bonus trick

Do you need to have a work order complete while the 100 is in there though? because Ive tried this multiple times and I keep getting 1 for 1 instead of 2 for 1 with level 100 follower in there when I put him in with work orders completed.

Barn, Chanter building, and JC building. Not sure if im doing it right but the past few nights ive tried this in the morning where the work orders from when I was sleeping were done, I would put follower into building before opening the box and 1 for 1 not 2 for 1

I think the chance to recieve double the Reagent is based on your Follower lvl. So make sure its lvl 100. Just collected from my Enginerring and Tannery buildings; 6 orders, 12 reagents.
