Nice find. For some reason it felt like the spawns were slowing down towards the end, around 15k exp into it. They still spawned but it went from continuous Starfalling to waiting a minute for stuff to come back.

How can I level followers using this method? I assume I have to get them as bodyguards and to do that I have to upgrade something like the barracks?

Get Level 2+ Barracks, go toy our drawing table (Where you build your garrison) then click add follower on your barracks. Only some followers are eligible, those are the ones with the 'Bodyguard' perk.

You need level 2 (might be level 3, not 100% sure) and assign a follower with the bodyguard trait to the Barracs. You can then talk to him in your garrison and he will follow you around in Draenor. Your assigned follower will gain some repuation for every kill while he's with you.

Works very well, certainly if you have the rare vendor with you for some extra buffs, if you get the healing buff you can just go on barrage everything on a hunter ^^

To go fast on a hunter:

1. take spirit beast for the heal
2. put it on tank mode for the AOE aggro so your follower dont die from aggro xD
3. choose explosive ammunitions as talent for more AOE
4. choose barrage for fast and BIG pull
5. put explosive trap on the floor
6. let the PARTY begin

It took me 40min to lvlup 2 followers

I think this place got nerfed, or I am missing something because it in no way beats the place in shadowmoon. The mobs aren't aggressive and there aren't many of them which makes it slower. Plus they don't drop anything either.

For some reason arent my follower getting XP. She only levels "as a bodyguard". When I return to garrisson she is missing the exact amount of XP as she did when I left - towards reaching epic.

So what is the big deal with the barracks? Is it just to get high level followers and bodyguard? Any other perks?

Just tried this, excelent spot! Went from 0 to max within 40min (aprox) using a 633ilvl SV hunter with barrage and incendiary ammo.

Seems to be some underlying criteria for them to spawn... I've leveled 4 of my 5 bodyguards here, currently working on the final one for the achievement... and its insanely slow going. This was absolutely stupid fast earlier today, there were 3 of us in a party out here all leveling our bodyguards in the tiny little area where Sunderthorn comes down and we were never running out of respawns... now, I'm the only one out here and I'm having to wait 3-5 minutes between respawns of the area.
I wonder if it has been nerfed? Or perhaps it relies on the number of people in the zone which, at this hour, would be much lower than during the day? I really don't know, but from bodyguard #4 to #5, the speed of respawns dropped 90%..... yet when I worked on Bodyguards #2 and #3 back to back, respawns were exactly the same speed and were wonderfully fast/instant.

I still had one bodyguard to finish getting rep for when the US realms went down this morning. When they came back up, I found the Spires of Arak spit to be extremely slow as it was in my earlier poist, and I *know* a lot of people were online at that time. I went down to Shadowmoon Valley where someone posted the location for the Swamplighter Drones and had MUCH BETTER LUCK. 100% uptime on respawns, didnt have to move, and they dropped loads of greens. I'm not entirely sure if the Spires of Arak spot was hotfixed, it definitely seemed to be on my realm, but for now I'd say give the Shadowmoon spot a try... or check out some of the other slightly slower alternative spots.
