Darkmoon Faire up if you're already there

I dunno if this is old or pointless but I just logged into a character in DMF and I'm on the Island, no one there and no NPCs. I see some mobs (not rabbit though).

Able to ride the merry go round without a ticket. Dunno if there's any potential for anything without any NPCs though.

DMF isn't supposed to start until tonight/tomorrow.

Was only worth while for the chest, and since he is alone anyway if it does spawn he can loot it anyway.

same thing happens if u "stay" on the island over the time when the festival ends, you will be in empty darkmoon island and then yollu be auto-ported out

Unless you stay on the ferris wheel (where you get the WHEEEE) buff, atleast that was my experience with 2 different characters last week when i logged them in for the first time since last darkmoon faire
