Really... it clearly says Apply Aura: Mod % Damage Taken Value 115%.
    .
i am slightly worried if you people cant tell the difference between 15% and 115%.

Arai is correct Mothership, 100%+X%Mod is how they display their damage buffs. They do this so that way if you get an attack reducer/debuff it will be marked by 100%+-X%mod, or just 100%-X%

So say if the debuff was 15% damage reduction. It would be 100%-15%, totaling that you are only doing 85% of your normal base damage to the target. ^^

Dont be ridiculous... you are just writing stuff even you could test it out ingame.

Here is same kind of debuff from dps DK 4% phys dmg increase:
Physical Vulnerability - Spell - World of Warcraft

Hope you have tested it out before your next reply.
If you still think its 15% only then i dont know what is wrong with you.

I haven't tested it in game, but Mothership has a point. On WoWhead, the value given for her Assassin's Gaze spell is 115%:

Apply Aura: Mod % Damage Taken (Arcane, Fire, Frost, Holy, Nature, Physical, Shadow)
    Value: 115%

Whereas, a similar ability increasing damage taken (Malkorok's Fatal Strike tank debuff) looks like this:

Apply Aura: Mod % Damage Taken (Arcane, Fire, Frost, Holy, Nature, Physical, Shadow)
    Value: 10%

After checking similar abilities (eg. Curse of Elements, Physical Vulnerability), I can say with relative certainty that they do not code it like you say, Bippy. It's not weapon damage, it's damage taken. They aren't the same. Furthermore, comments on Wowhead on the Assassin's Gaze ability suggest that it does in fact increase damage taken by a lot more than 15%. I'd be willing to bet that it does provide 115% ADDITIONAL damage taken. Will test when servers come back up.

Tested this: My pyro hits for 70K normally, with the debuff its 150K, so it does indeed appear
to be more than doubling the damage.

MS: You made an important point but there's no need to be rude to Bippy.

I've known about this for months and I never actually noticed the true damage multiplier, the tooltip
    is quite misleading.

And now, a good exploit has now become pretty damn great!

Awesome, thank you for confirming this, my bad, I thought it was just a small error on wowheads part in terms of the percentage.

No, I take full responsibility for this one. How I managed to farm up shaohao rep up without noticing I was doing more than double damage I'll never know.

To be fair none of the hundreds of people who watched the original video seemed to notice either, or at least made a comment to that effect.

Yeah, I doubt they will fix this at all now. The whole focus is on speeding
people through old content, so any one smart enough to use this can
    do just that.
