Looting shadowfrost shards from a boss 50 times in 1 raid-lockout, should be the same as looting a guaranteed runestone from a Boss in tot?.

Assigned loot versus loot on a body is very different. The assigned loot "supposedly" has algorithms they said to prevent you from being screwed over and get no loot.

the exploit is that your raid ID may still be locked to the boss but if everyone is from a different server and it's on heroic... which everyone gets saved after they leave. that if you do it with OQ or random people from other servers you won't get locked to the boss even though it's your ID.

so you can easily do infusions without having to set on heroic for fear of Ragekills on heroic so it requires a little bit of work to kill the boss but if they still try to kill the boss you can just hearth without fear of having wait another week. because tho it was your ID you're not receiving information from your server over the raid kills because it isn't your server it's random other servers.

heroic mode everyone gets saved. even they quit but if you kick everyone and hearth as they kill you don't get saved even if they kill on heroic... sorry I wrote this when I was very tired.

I think you have greatly misunderstood.

OP never gets a single shard with this method.

He does the prerequisite quests required before you enter "shard farming state" using this method. That in itself would have been quite a feat back on level 80. Right now, however, its a piss. Anyone can do it. All you need is 3-5 friends, and you'll be solid. Theres even descriptions in this very topic on how to do it.

3-5 friends if you're a noob. Solo it all 25h every week other than marrowgar and dreamwalker. Back at level 80 this would be entirely irrelevant, as you used to need 1000 kills... Now you need 50. Also this post would be useless for that since it was all done in trash runs with a fresh lockout. This post is seriously useless imo.

Not sure if it works this way anymore. I'm in the middle of my blood infusion, got a group together all from same server/cross server, they decided to kill queen and screw me for quest, I left raid and hearthed. Still not saved to queen even though they finished entire raid without me. /shrug
