Skipping 3000 Valor Pt. Quest for leg. cloak

Just cause it didn't work for you doesn't mean it's BS. Did you follow the guidelines? Was it your first EVER time getting the achiev? Did you make sure your character was engaged in the SM boss when you quit game and were able to /who and whisper your toon (if you used this strat)??

I literally just used the way i said above like 6 hours ago to get the Prideful Conquest achiev and it worked like a charm. (However alt doesn't get access to vendors it seems unfortunately )

Stupid question maybe, but for thouse who managed to get this to work.
Was it the first time ever you completed it on that account? or just first time for thouse characters?

Because I've already completed 3 other cloaks, but I'd love to skip A Test of Valor on other toons as I'm on that stage with like 5 characters.

It doesn't work for everyone. Like i said, the concept is the same for test of valor as it is prideful conquest. The general consensus is even if you have 2 accounts or doing the SM strat, you need to have never completed the achiev in the first place.

So if I've done this achievement before on other toons, would this not work?

Also, if it did work.. Could I do this method with a horde toon, then DC myself log into an alliance toon (different server) and they'd both cap?

This also works for arena rating achievements. While it's less valuable, just though I'd add that I was logged into two accounts at the time and both characters received the achievement.

Nvm, appears that it doesn't work if you've had the cloak before.

Also for CM's only works on the mount/title, you cannot buy the transmog

Confirming in 5.4.8 still working on 2 chars on same Bnet account on same server both on horde in same group, my alt was in Scarlet monastery aggroed to boss, made sure that my main could whisper my alt and link achiv etc. then completed the achiv for 3000 points and got it on my alt too! done @ 03.09.2014

tbh, this explanation doesnt make any sense at all, You are in the same run with 2 chars on the same Battle.net and you can whisper yourself thats good and ontop of that You link the achievement and suddenly its complete ?? I dont believe in fantasy stories sorry mate

sorry was a bit high writing that but what i meant that i made sure that i could whisper my alt, and then i used the 100 valor point thingys with my MAIN to complete the 3000/3000 valor pt. achiv then both characters got the achi and could complete the quest and continue the legendary cloak saga.

confirmed did this last night 06/09/14 US realm worked

Have 2 accounts, Hunter + Dk, neither characters had done the quest before, noone in the account had completed the cloak before

Took hunter (0/3000) to Scarlet Halls (left entrance), ran to first boss and stood there to aggro

DK (2960/3000) had the 50valor handin quest from timeless isles

Handed in the quest

/w hunter the achievement,

Hunter also got quest complete 3000/3000 + achievement
