force ilevel scaledown for old content

I was playing with the on my shaman earlier, I had my level scaled down to 58 in BRS, but all my gear hadn't scaled down correctly and it seemed a lot of my gear was giving level 90 stats.

I've not yet been able to replicate the results however this it what happened: I was inside BRS itself, killed some trash so I was saved to a run, random dungeon popped and I completed the run, ported out of the dungeon into my saved BRS run, though I did not scale down at all, after this some other people from the run ported into BRS and had scaled down, I exited the instances via the portal, re-entered and then I had the result.

It's not much more of an exploit in itself, but it was immensely fun to play around with stupidly high stats - I had around 1300% haste, 250% crit and 400% mastery.

Now this is something that is actually usefull.

Combining this with the fact that you can get your ilvl squish saved (I do believe I read this a few pages back), You should be able to solo current tier raidbosses if you're running a tank character with this.

For example, back whet ToT was in Beta, all gear scaled up to 522 ilvl, and so a couple of 80 twinks 6manned Lei-shen, with the mage having almost 1million DPS.
Now imagine that, except that you are lvl 58 and getting scaling from that.

EDIT: So it seems that only BRD, Strat, and BRS work. Also if you finish the run that you are all scaled down in you can then enter another instance and still be scaled down without having to run another heroic dungeon.

When you say another instance, have you tried it out with any raids?
We might seriously be on to something here, if you can scale your level down to 58 without scaling your ilvl down, this would be extremely stupid.

What I ment was that you could enter one of the other Instance that already work with scale down: BRD, Strat, and BRS. I did try molten core scale down after finishing a LFR (didn't work) but I did not try it by just entering after finishing a dungeon.

Pretty sure they said it would be called something like timewalker and will be a different option in raid difficulty menu

I noticed something kinda interesting.

If you're on a low level, food scales down if you have the 90 food. This could just be the broken tooltip stuff but I haven't seen it on food so far.
