Blazing chest twice! bug?

Hello! i was transfering my druid to another server, and i had taken the blazing chest before... and when i checked on the blazing chest due to the rare that spawns there i saw that i could take the chest again now that i transfered and i got the burden!

intended? one time occasion? luck?

resetting happens with allot of quests, the chest check is flagged if the chest is opened(quest completed) or not.

Well the Blazing chest is the 100% burden chest, it shouldnt be able to just transfer then get it again? i didnt faction change i just transfered server

Is this really intended or is this an exploit? because, if you only need to send an char to an other server to get a blazing chest, you could just spam free char migration until you have enough then migrate back to you original server, that should be an grand exploit if you ask me!

Well... It really doesn't matter if it's intended or not, as the realm change is about $20 and the burden you get from the blazing chest is about 2000g if you buy it from someone.
I wouldn't keep switching servers in order to get burden a lot of times.
Tbh I think it's a bug with blizzards servers not hooking up, on whether you have used the chest or not when you change realm.

I recently transferred a lvl 90 toon from Horde on a server to Horde on another server and I had the same idea. I definitely looted ALL of the chests on the island before I transferred. None of them reset, not even the weekly ones. Maybe it happens when you server transfer and change factions, but I doubt it.

I'd also add, though it's already been mentioned, that it's hardly an exploit either way. A server transfer to the same faction is 25-ish dollars, which equates to 20k-ish gold, if not more. And, to transfer while also switching factions is around 55 dollars. You'd be better off buying gold and then purchasing something off the AH. ~522 gear is 3-4k on my server and trade-able burdens are around 3k as well.

Well the thing is, i did not transfer for the burden, i tranferred to play with a friend, and i thought, if you use the free migration and it resets it would be sweet, if you are going to change server anyways But it did not work for you? may it have been a one time occasion?

That's correct. It definitely did not work. I transferred another toon today that I had been intending to transfer eventually, just to be certain, and it didn't work for him either. There might be stipulations to having it work, such as not collecting other chests, or not picking up any of the quests, or something similar, but it would be extremely expensive to test, .

Incidentally, none of my stuff reset. I had read prior to transferring that things like the weekly Valor Cap/World Boss Kills would also reset, but none of that happened either.
