Images damaged?

Hello mmowned,
I recently got scammed and someone put an authenticator on my accout. So, I called blizzard and they told me to send in some paperwork so I thought..."Okay no big deal".

Well then I got a reply back saying that some of the files I sent were damaged...

These are the steps I took...

1. Scanned the image (It was automatically saved as a .bmp)
2. Opened the image with paint and saved it as a .jpg file.
3. Uploaded to my email and sent.

Try to zip them before sending if they accept that? Haven't had any problems opening pictures in paint to censor out some information they don't need (only done it twice). If you can't zip, just try sending again with the same or different email (e.g hotmail, gmail, etc).

Maybe when you changed from .png to .jpeg they damaged. Weird anyways.

I suggest you send them as a .png or boring way:

1. Print out the picture
2. Scan it on printer
3. Save it as jpeg
4. Send the scan :P.

All the times that i have been needed to send my ID to blizzard, i've used my cellphone camera, turn of the flash and just take some pictures. (Make sure that you got some lights directed at the card.. You will see..)
Usually a phone camera saves the file in JPG when you transfer the picture to your computer.

I have a 5pixels camera, and it's pretty good quality on the pictures. Atleast Blizzard see the text.

Often they want you to send in an evidence that you really are that person on the ID, so they told me to use my Creditcard aswell, so they could see my name on both my ID and my creditcard. (Make sure to edit the picture, remove your creditcard numbers!)

This is for EU. No idea how they do it in US.

I got this 3 times when faxing and im in the UK and as my acount was a US one i had to post off the forms to them. Got unlocked within 72 hours
