Did not work for us... we spent about 10 tries tryin it... tried before he is casting, while he is casting and nothing worked... when we used it before he was casting it, it seemed that the boss delayed the cast until he got a target when smoke bomb ended... :/

May have been fixed with the reset hotfixes. Can't test as we're past it atm.

We used this for yesterdays raid. Killed the boss at around 17:30 GMT and it worked like a charm.

Why would Smoke Bomb block Frostbite on melees? The "no vision" debuff from Smoke Bomb doesnt apply when both (the caster & the target) are in the Smoke Bomb. Thus, not working as intended.

Except that he cannot cast it on melee...if people are in range. Smokebomb doesn't alter your range it alters L.O.S, that being the case the unintended portion is he never attempts to recast til his cd is up. The smokebomb and way he casts the ability are 100% working as intended.

Can you provide said post, because searching on both google, and elitist jerks shows nothing.

When claiming things aren't an exploit, and are listed somewhere else it is always useful to prove it, just like when claiming a repost.

Ice Block from Mages also works.
Just trigger it when you can see the arrow over your head. Use it since the beginning of the Content

The fact you can bubble/ice block it is a trivial fact though as it only negates the mechanic GRANTED it comes ON YOU. While smoke bomb completly negates the mechanic.

I've just killed them with my guild & my smoke bomb worked like described, we could've skipped the frostbite. Bit of a necro post, but still, thanks for the share, repped.
