Hi Ownedcore, I wish to share with you something that I found lately. This is my first contribution so if I failed to discover something useful or it's already known, please be understanding :-) Also, this is something that should not happen according to blizz rules, so I assumed it should fit in this forum section.
I have found that after buying paid name change, the original nick it is not necessarily locked for 90 days. For the sake of the story, I will call my two toons involved "OWNED" and "CORE". "Owned" existed on Server A and was my main. I decided to transfer "Core" from Server B to A and make my main so, naturally, I wanted to switch to my main nick, "Owned". I read the Blizz rules on their help site, plus I spoke to GM, who confirmed, that regardless of the previous nick owner being on the same account, I will have to wait 90 days before any nick gets unlocked after name change and anyone can use it again.
So, I did the first name change. "Owned" got locked, on service dashboard it said "temporarily locked to June 12, 2013", PayPal got charged. So I logged into WoW, "Core" was already transferred and flagged for rename, because "Core" was taken on this server. I had another nick planned already, but suddenly I just thought I would give it a shot and typed "Owned" into the "new nick" box. Hit Enter and... I got logged in with my new nick Owned! So contrary to what GMs assured me (I made two tickets to make sure!), I could use the nick right away :-)
I hope someone may find it useful and forgive me any grammar mistakes :-)
