Anyone else thinking "SS or it didn't happen?"
Anyone else thinking "SS or it didn't happen?"
Well it worked for me, and seeing how people that I don't even know have confirmed it as working...I already used this on my BoP/BoE items. Is it possible that someone can post SS's?

A screenshot would prove nothing in this particular instance. The skeptics would still remain skeptical, and claim that the demonstrater had a separate, identical, un-soulbound item for the soul purpose of "proving" their point.
The only way this could literally be proven to the masses would be a real-time, unedited video....but we all know how wickedly fast Blizzard's response team is -.-
The video would be much too large, and much too troublesome to sift through to find the information you want.
In short, if you're skeptical, try it yourself when you upgrade to something better. Who knows, it could work for you.
+rep, good post

this is purely the fault of a poor and/or lazy GM.
the GM has the capability of returning the item in any state, with any bonuses, etc.
so, the only reason that this happened was human error. you'd be lucky if this worked 1 in 10 tries![]()
Lol Ozrien there's an ingame clock you know. And take a movie with a camcorder and it'll say the date. Rofl
An ingame clock would prove nothing. And a camcorder? Please, spare me -.-Lol Ozrien there's an ingame clock you know. And take a movie with a camcorder and it'll say the date. Rofl
Camcorder= Noobasaurus rex
Not so. GM's often do this so people can't claim that they had some item with top-o' the line enchants and gems, expecting it to be restored.this is purely the fault of a poor and/or lazy GM.

It isn't really luck. Blizzard even states that if they recover an item it will not have the enchants/sockets on it. I think this exploit would work better if you were to wait about an hour or so before requesting the items back.

Hey i gotta try this right away omg :O
where some ppl seem to not understand its: he dont turn BoP to BoE
but, equiped BoE (soulbound) to unequiped BoE
so take BoP out of the picture
and correct me if im wrong but i think their is a limit of item an account can get back (same thing, if you delete your char and ask a GM to get him back)
but i can be totaly wrong, i never deleted a char or item (except a guild chart ready for turning!)
You are completely correct. You CANNOT use this exploit over and over again and at a certain point blizzard will tell you that they cannot replace this item.
You can only do this with items that were once BoE. Such as Spellstrike Set/Battlecast Set/Whitemend Set/Girdle of Ruination/Belt of Blasting/Unyielding Girdle/ and also other crafted blues. Hm. I will make a video today. I just remembered that I have Blade of Wizardry and I am getting Merciless Gladiator's Spellblade today. I will try it with Blade of Wizardry and post the video on youtube. Give me a few hours.

lol, will not work...
Because when its a realy good and powerfull item "for example Lionhearth Blade"
a gm will give it to you and demand that you equip it so he can see it.
and i know this because i had lost my Dragon's Call and a GM helped me to get it back.
He then showed himself and demanded that i equipped the sword so it become soulbound.
Another example is a friend of my lost his Freezing Band ( long time ago ) and a GM did the same with him.
about 6 months i took a 20ish mage through SFK about a dozen times wanting arugal's cloth chest piece... finally got it and accidentally vendored (before blizzard added the buyback feature, back when you could only buyback 1 item). I made a ticket and they returned it in mail, but it was already soulbound to me. So i don't see this working.
Last time I got a item restored, it asked me that it would get soulbound when I looted it from the mailbox... so... either the GM forgot to turn on that neat soulbound warning feature, or they nerfed their GM system. :P
