Warlock Soulswap Bug

After leveling my Warlock Alt i noticed a strange Bug with Soulswap.

1.)Dot the Target(more then 1 dot)
2.)Use Soulswap
3.)Remove your Soulswap buff

Exploitbegins:
4.)Dot the target with only 1 dot
5.)Use Soulswap
6.)Use Soulswap again to reapply the previous Dots!

Doesn't look awesome so far?

You can use it on Bosses with Dots from the Trash because the "captured" Dots have no time limit anymore

That's not what he is saying... good try though.

For people who get confused, what he is saying is this

1. Get procs going and place dots on a mob
2. Use soul swap.
3. CANCEL SOUL SWAP (so you no longer have the option to place dots on target)
4. Find a new mob, place 1 dot on it
5. Use soul swap
6. Use soul swap again to place the FIRST set of dots (the ones that are buffed) back onto the mob and not the single dot.

So pretty much, you can "store" your snapshot dots for as long as you want, IF you cancel soulswap buff. I don't have a warlock, so i can't confirm but i believe this is what the OP is talking about.

IF you apply corruption and UA to a target
Soulswap that target
click off the buff
then select a new target apply corruption only
then soulswap it will apply both UA and corruption from the soulswap buff u removed

Now ive done it once iam unable to do it again

does this work through loading screens? i think about millhouse in brawlgar with 1000% dmg dots -> store them go to raid -> profit

Easy way to try would be to use that 30%haste buff from the blue globes on Isle of Thunder and zone into ToT with a stored buff. If you can store buffs through loading screens, this bug will get some great abuse!

But my question... Can you stack it? Do reapplied dots also get the benefit of existing procs you may have?

You can't stack, you'll loose the old buffs if you want to apply the ones you have now.
Edit: Zoneing does remove the preserved dots so its kinda useless. thx anyways.

maybe it works if you zone and then click soulswap off (after loadscreen)?

like
