[Warlock] Meta + Harvest Life bug

Outside of meta, harvest life does relatively average damage + generates fury. Using HL while in meta does a fair bit more, but generates no extra fury.

The bug here is casting HL in meta and dropping meta afterwords, you'll gain both the damage benefit from meta + the fury generation from caster form.

In heroic ToT, helpful on meg adds, primordious, twins, and MAYBE lei shen ball lightning if you messed up on saving fury

The damage gain only persists for the channel duration. You will probably end up with a few ticks abit better, a few seconds CD on meta and the fury gain depending on the amount of targets besides your main target.
If you want better fury generation and damage, use hellfire. It gives you more fury, even gives you fury while in meta if you hit enough targets.

It costs two GCD's though. I don't raid (but I want to) so I don't know if that's a big deal, but in pvp it's worth considering.

This is simply how channeling spells work, they snapshot your stats at start. Same can be done with procs that are about to fall off etc. You shouldn't be using harvest life for aoe btw.

To be fair, I originally posted the immolate bug on mmo before posting here, but yeah it was in the demo sticky. Still helpful for the multitudes that don't read the class forum, as most of the trivial exploits are ripped from pretty much there or reddit!

In regards to Rabber- The bug is that dropping meta into caster is a "dynamic" buff, not a snapshot. If you cast HL in meta you should retain the damage yes, but not gain the benefit of generating fury. Also, HL is better in several heroic ToT situations than hellfire on 3-4 targets going down in > 5-6 seconds with chaos wave on cd. The situations mostly apply to sac'd demo with unerring, but hey a bug is a bug.
