Easy Secrets of the empire

While doing lfr a few times i noticed if you die before the pull you could still receive secrets of the empire q items but it wouldn't actually lock you to the boss
with some luck you could easily requeue and farm these
can provide screenshots if you guys wish
shows me getting a quest item from the boss while not being locked

Is this your THEORY or have you killed the boss enough times in LFR to confirm what you're saying? IE: Have killed the boss 9 times without getting locked in LFR.

I did council last night without getting locked
and just done durumu
didnt know i could still get the legendary q item though till now
if i had a theory i wouldnt of posted

I noticed something like this. When I was doing the new lfr, and got my first Durumu kill, I died the attempt we got the kill (from going afk and tank still pulling after a ready check).
In the end result after the boss was dead, I received a LFR fail bag, AND a secrets of the empire for the quest.
The largest thing I saw was that when I looked at the lfr menu for the Halls of Flesh-Shaping, Durumu isn't even on the "Already Looted" list.

Apparantly to bearkin the LEgendary meta gems are not useful.

To further clarify my post: This cannot be working, you can loot Secrets of the Empire only once per boss per week. So it's absolutely irrelevant if you are eligible to loot the boss, as there is probably a hidden weekly quest (or something like that) which determines which boss drops a Secret for you. (Allthough the extra reputation seems nice.)

I understand what you're saying but you yourself said you don't know at this point how bliz calculates it. They might use loot locks to judge whether you're eligible for secrets or not and this trick negates the loot lock.

When ever i see someone say this who have like 10 posts i think "i am greedy, now that i know it, please hide it from everyone else!!!"

Also, only the OP can request this moved to Elite unless a mod wishes to interject, you requesting it does nothing.
