let me preface this by saying anything blizzard decides is bannable, is bannable.

Now, that being said, this is win trading and therefore is definitely bannable but at this point in time, people have not yet been banned for it (to my knowledge). but blizzard may still do a banwave for any people who attempted this

I am unable to use this method successfully since the patch, I have tried queuing manually and with the addon as well as multiple pet level combinations. I have also made attempts in and out of groups, with different factions and on separate computers. The accounts I am using are not merged and are under 2 different names, I can only surmise that some common identifying factor is causing the system to prevent the two accounts from actually entering battle together (i.e. billing address, IP address, payment information etc.).

Has anyone with this issue found a workaround? Any suggestions would be welcome, I will continue to experiment in the meantime.

Ok take this with a grain of salt. But I talked to a buddy of mine who is a GM and he said that they weren't focused on battle pets, win trading was more of an issue when you get gear or a lot of gold via exploit, so most of their focus was on arenas. Now that's just 1 GM, so no guarantee but I think that makes this relatively safe.

Just to clarify, there are different "battle groups" so either you're together with your friend or you're not. There's no way to check this other than keep trying. The battle groups can and have been changed. (I was able to Q with a friend of mine in the start, then I couldn't suddenly (no patch), then I could again and now I cannot.) IPs, Billing adresses etc has nothing to do with it.

What lappee said above about waiting 1 minute, that only goes for if you want to earn XP on the CHARACTER. 11 moves doesn't matter, just wait two turn cycles and forfeit. (I believe there is faster lvling methods though now that it's nerfed to 1min.

Here is a script that disables the confirmation on the forfeit button.

/run PetBattleFrame.BottomFrame.ForfeitButton:SetScript("OnClick", function() C_PetBattles.ForfeitGame() end)

Last but not least, go to Isle of Thunder on both chars if you want to skip loading screens when entering / exciting battles. Just queue once to locate where the designated battle spot is and position the chars just below the little hill.

I am really sorry to necro this thread but Grejpan you are the only person who has seemed to clarify this thing about battle groups I have searched everywhere. The last week I have been wintrading with my partners account and mine, then randomly today it stopped working. and i still have 100s of pets to get to level 25. Can you clarify how this battle group thing works? Are you sure it isnt the system auto flagging accounts that have lost/won too many times against each other or some other sort of 'over 3000 wins' 'under 3000'wins grouping etc? really need some help with this so any advice is really appreciated!
