Lets put it into another term,
best soccer team of your country plays with 5 different names, takes up the top five slots of your soccer-league which would be otherwise in the 2nd tier league, so there are 5 teams which are in the 2nd league but would belong in the first one. this isnt fair and has nothing to do with competition or "sportsmanship"
they also never play against their own team or if they'd do on purpose, they could gain +ratings (ie alot of teams pushed their mmr with 2 pushcharacters in s9 - anyone remember the r1 on blutdurst? lel), so they kill off their own competition, too. the whole thing leads to less activity, which leads to even less gladteams but not less bought titles, so the %age of players who get a rewards will get smaller again.
