Battle Res yourself with lag in BGs

I played alot of Arathi Basin this weekend during the call to arms. One of my favorite strategies to use while spinning the flag is to manually run back to my corpse and click the accept res as long as the other team did not take my insignia. This weekend I was running atleast 3 WoW clients and at times lag would be pretty bad. After spinning many flags and using alot of CCs to defend them, one time I died and due to bad bad lag the icon to res popped up before I was teleported to the GY. I have seen this happen before but have never been able to click it fast enough. This time, I was fast enough, and it resed me right on top of my corpse. I quickly feared the group that was standing on the flag and then was teleported to the graveyard and REMAINED ALIVE. I was able to quickly run back to the flag and started CCing again.

After many many attempts at trying to click that button fast enough, I was finally able to do it this weekend and I am happy to share this with everyone. This might not be easily reproduced consistently without the use of a lag program or macro, but they are easy enough to find!

Here's a macro courtesy of Winsane that can be used instead of actually clicking the res button:

/script RetrieveCorpse();
/script RepopMe();

Also, this won't work after you die a few times since the 2 minute timer kicks in before you are able to res without the spirit.

I'm not able to try this, but if it works as you're saying then this would probably be the way to do this consistently:

Right when you die/right before you die, hit lag switch/net limiter macro.

Then spam this macro:

/script RetrieveCorpse();
/script RepopMe();

(Not sure if this macro still works, but it should)

If you're a hunter you can get a quilen pet and make a macro of:
/cast [target=CHARACTER NAME] Eternal Guardian
/script RetrieveCorpse();
/script RepopMe();

I think that's the right script, can't check to be sure, not home currently.

happened to me once, lagged so badly i actually had time to click the button! will try this macro for sure! the only problem is that you rez with half HP

half HP is much more than what a shaman is able to self res with!
