There was hotfix about 5 or 6 hours ago to fix an issue with players getting saved to boss without loot, even if they haven't downed the boss yet, One post in bug forum also mentions this crazy dps bug was hotfixed as well.

I guess how quickly Blizz fixes bug or exploit is related to how much fun it'd be. For mage to get half million dps and wtfpwn a new raid boss is too much fun, oh no Blizz can't allow that. :P

Its fixed 12 Nov.

Fixed an issue that could cause Inferno Blast to interact with Amber Carapace in a way that dealt extreme damage to secondary targets.
