But im wondering, is there a way to do the rollback as alliance? since the storage void is insane a building it will dismount you as soon as you enter.

Horde & Alliance can both do this just put down a guild bank right out side the building with a 2 seater and follow the steps. You won't dismount because you're desynced.

For those confused about the rollback, your passanger is the one lagging, you just /logout.. and put the item in void storage to D/C and rollback.. Make sure the items you are rolling back are in stacks, and you do nothing to save your location.

to simply duplicate things like gems or enchant scrolls is it needed to use the void storage?
Or can you just gem your gear, let your passenger lag and logout and back in?

The passenger lag and logout is crucial to bug out the void storage which then rolls you back, it is in fact the void storage that rolls you back, not the passenger and logout. Once you bug out the void storage, it will roll you back allowing you to reuse stackable items.

I'm sorry if i sound like a retard here but i've been trying it a couple of times now and failed. So bassicly lets say i have a belt, i have 2gems in my bagpack, I socket 1 of those in the belt, then i mount up, my buddy does it as well (after dropping gbank), he uses the lag macro, i type /logout, I log back in and deposit the belt into void storage and repeat the lagging proces, log back in and the belt should be in my bags and so should the gems?

I'f i'm doing something wrong please point it out. ><
