Black Smith sockets in low lvl gear plus a few other items.

Like how does this exploit work?
I've done everything I could - up to the point of when I need to get the socket onto my bracer's/glove's, got my bracers 5 times to try and figure out how to do the right way with my blacksmithing friend.... just get dc'ed or the item becomes bound, And everyone's to shy to say how even over skype, and i'ma tired of searching for an answer after 2 days of non stop looking for a step by step answer to this... or even a hint from someone on how.

You can only do it with BoP drops from instances. Not with BoE items

I tried to do it with the bis hunter gloves from sfk. They were BoP, but had the two hour trade time with the blacksmith that ran me. We tried casting it than putting it in the trade window and just ended up getting dc'ed or a trade without the socket on em Could some share there exp on how to do this trick? cause i've spent along time trying but with no success.

It doesn't work, When I click trade at 90% we get instant dc .. both of us.

Just did it last night to some bracers on a lvl 20. Still working regardless of what people are saying.

1)Get bracers with blacksmith
2)Go to an anvil
3)Open trade
4) BS begins cast to socket
5) BS puts bracers in trade and twink accepts
6) BS waits til socket cast is at 96% or so and then accepts the trade

Took me 3 tries.

Don't do this if you care about your account. Some 19 twinks with full grandfathered items got banned... lucky ones got suspended.

You should not necro threads from 2 years old... And the answer is of course no, if no one has confirmed it still works since 2012.
