ID bug after server transfer

after server transfer you still have your ID's, but they dont count.

i killed Alar before transfer. on the first screen you can see the warning that i'm joining an instance in progress (0/4, all bosses alive)

on the second screen you can see my ID where i killed Alar and in the background Alar is flying around.

works with every other ID like baradins or dragonsoul aswell

Hmm intriguing to see that perhaps Blizz have only implemented a 'visual' raid lock when xferring. ( A huuuge oversight lol)

@OP this has almost always been the case as long as you server transfer to a server other then the ones in your battlegroup.

I have to agree you on everthing BUT "This is not a good find." what do you mean? This was the most epic find when it was first discovered, just so you know. And the good part is it still works. I mean if ur a mount collector, you can clear all raids/heroic that drops the mounts you need, and than you can do them AGAIN same week after tarnsfer. And if ur rich you can get upto 3 chances a week (3days wait to transfer again) Or if your raiding guild happens to be server transfering, you can clear as much as possible in DS, than transfer for moar loots. I have no idea if it works with LFR but thats a good one too as an addition if you need loots there.

But OT:

Its been known for a LONG time, its been over the internet about guilds like Star I believe that used it to get world first Shannox etc. So ye, this bug is an ancient history. If someone actually finds a bug with server transfer/faction change and other things like getting exalted with a faction that takes along time to farm rep for or something similar would be a good find.

alright. ive seen all these posts about id reset after faction change and so on and was confused as i joined the raid with my ID and saw the boss flying around. i didnt know the thing with transfer out of the battlegroup. maybe because its so old.

Does faction swaps still work reseting id even if it shows your saved? Going to be short a few bosses for my daggers this week and i have a xfer for gold available was just wondering if it still works b4 i do it?
