    Farm your favorite heroic

Didn't see a thread about this particular method so please advise if there is one.

I've been trying to gear my alt to 378s with the new 5 man heroics. Particular slots need filling so I need to run specific dungeons repeatedly to achieve this. Basically, you will use the random heroic dungeon finder to begin. Run heroics until you get the instance you need. Once you do, upon completion of the dungeon, remain in the instance and wait for people to leave. Once everyone has left, join the raid finder, then go to the LFD window. It will give you the option to leave queue from LFR. Do it, and you should see the option "someone has left, find more players?" or whatever it is. Enter the queue and it will requeue you for that specific dungeon.

I haven't tinkered yet with queueing for a specific dungeon (so you don't have to rely on the random queue to start the farming) but it might work as well.

I'll try this out, been farming those 378 shoulders from Hour of Twilight forever

EDIT: After everyone leaves and I do the RF queue and exit it via the DF screen, it asks if I want to find more players, like you said. However, when I hit yes, it says "You do not meet the requirements for the chosen dungeons."

Hey phantom -- I'm assuming that's if you queue up specifically for that dungeon in the first place?

Well, I tried this it worked and queued me for same instrance again, but I didn't get Valor Points for that run, so in what way it is different/better then queue for specific dungeon?

Haven't tried it but, are you sure you weren't capped on valor for the week?

I'll test this later today. Regardless of this contributing to the valor cap or not, this could be awesome for trying to get a particular item that you're needing!

Yes, 400/1000 before and after, I was specifically checking this.

Or you just can queue for specific dungeon, in what way is this method better?

Because if you are trying to get a certain item out of a heroic you can only queue for that specific heroic once per day... This would allow you to farm that heroic repeatedly to get the item you need faster.

Did you not see the title of the thread? "FARM your favorite heroic". Meaning that you can FARM a heroic. You can't continuously queue for a specific heroic from normal LFD window.

Sadly, it doesn't seem to allow actual "farming" of hcs. If you manage to land in the preferred heroic using the Random hc LFD tool and then use the method described, it will just consider your next run through the instance as a "specific" dungeon and thus, lock the instance for the day. Trying it again will indeed give the message "You do not meet the requirements for the chosen dungeons."

So, at least as far as I could find it: working as intended and doesn't allow the same heroic to be farmed outside of the Random-Heroic option.

Haven't had a chance to play since I posted this -- just want to verify the testing you did. If you queue for a random heroic, and get the one you want and then requeue as I described (players have left, want to find more? bla bla) it considers that as queuing for a specific dungeon? So you would get to run through it one more time then if you tried to do the same method it wouldn't work?

If you run through the instance after using this trick, and try to repeat the method, it indeed will have locked you into the instance.
