Tree of Life for every Druid + unlimited free talent resets

Seems to be fixed with 4.3
Maybe those who have 40 points specc were able to keep it.

Did not find any similar threads. Known this for a while but sharing it
so i can finally contribute something useful to MMOwned.

This does NOT! work for every druid. I need some feedback on how it really works.

It does work for my main druid, while it doesn't on all my other druids. It did work for some friends.


I suppose it works for every druid which was created before 4.0 and had an active Restoration specc at that time. ( still not sure, tell me if it does for you )


How to do it:


1. type

/script PickupSpell(65139)

2. Drag it onto your action bar

3. Use that spell, you now learned Tree of Life

4. Drag the ToL spell from spellbook. You can bind and use it as if you learned it.

How this works:

If you learn this spell, it acts as a used talent point.

The allowed maximum of spent talent points is 41. If you learn this you have 42, so the next time you rezone or relog --> your talents are bugged and you unlearned everything!

Relog another time and you can just spend your 41 talent points again. You are losing all talent spells on your action bar, so if you plan to do it often,
either create "/cast" macros for each spell or just rezone instead of relogging


How is this useful?

You can exploit that mechanic and get free talent resets everywhere and for free!

It's really funny using in duels and making your opponent think: "omg hes resto"

You can also learn the tree in an arena game so you have 42 talent points until you leave the arena.

That way, you can be moonkin and if you or your mates drop, just go tree and spam those instant regrowths with 15% increased healing.

As a feral, it is not that useful as your mana is limited and you dont have that much spell power, you can still go tree and instant root everyone to peel your healer.

You have to relog and respecc after every game.


Want to learn it permanent?

Just reset talent points and keep one talent point unspent. -> only use 40 of them ( There are always some weak/useless talents and tree should be an improvement [at least for PvP] )
You will never unlearn ToL and talents only show 40 spent points.

Sadly this doesnt work on my Druid. I created this char just after Wotlk was released.
all though + rep and hopefully other will get it working!

Tried on my druid and it did not work. Made him around the start of ICC. I tried everything I could think of.

I really don't know why it does work for some and doesn't for others.
We'll have to find out.

Just tried it on my druid and I didn't get it to work. Playing on EU servers. He was created back in wotlk and I've never been resto specc on him.

I was never resto on my druid as well, so maybe you had to have been specced resto before the old tree of life was removed.

Not working on my druid that i made right before WOTLK.

Does not work for me. Druid was originally created in 2.4 (end of BC era), had resto spec (with tree) throughout WotLK and the leaf icon I get with the script does not do anything at all regardless of my current tree-less resto or moonkin spec. The leaf icon remains dimmed in both specs I tried.

US server BTW, real Blizz server not emulated. Maybe only works in feral spec?

Not working on my druid made in the middle of TBC. I have been resto in wotlk.

I used tree of life in my resto spec then switched to feral. /script PickupSpell(33891) put tree of life on my action bar and it still had a cooldown on it, so I doubt this works.

I was resto all the time in WotLK. Playing on EU.
As far as i remember it works for every specc, even if i reset both trees.
My char is always eligible to learn that spell while it's greyed out for most other chars.

The amount of druids created in WotLK makes me wonder if vanilla main druids still exist
If this works I might buy myself some gametime to test it out.

EDIT: Could it be that you haven't unlocked the Dual Talent Specialization unlike the others?
It might be messing things up.

My vanilla main druid got banned

I unlocked Dual Talent Specialization some days after it was released.

My friend said it worked for him, telling him to do a ss today.
