[Molten Front Achievement] Easier/Faster "Death from Above" & "Ready for Raiding II"

Been keeping Fire in the Skies quest for a few days and today when I got there, there was no hawk to mount So it doesn't work anymore.

to clairify you did complete "into the fire" and the quests in the cavern before looking for the firehawk right? you still have to complete all the other druid of the talon before the firehawk de-phases.

I completed all including "into the fire" then two quests underground (luciferns and flamewalkers slain), then I went to do the Fire in the Skies quest, but there was no Hawk to mount, all other quest givers were there. So I completed all I could, but still no hawk...

Interesting. when i came to it today, the hawk was there. i tried to mount it and it disappeared.


leaving the molten front and re-entering made it show up again, and allowed me to go check for my mob.

now only 3 away from the achievement! Ragepyre, Flashfire and Singeslayer, your time will come!!!!!!!!


in other words folks, still working. if you cant see the hawk leave the molten front and re-enter. otherwise idk wut u did, still working here on US realms

If you keep the Strike at the Heart and Bombing, you are losing a total of 5 marks a day. Also, if you have the bombing and just hold onto it to do the achievement, you will not be able to pick up the Strike at the Heart for the Ready for Raiding. So you will have to be willing to lose out on 5 a day if you take this route, which i find too many.

I'm only missing out on 2 marks so far. I go see what mob is up for bombing then go do the shadow wardens.

to do the bombing run, you need to complete "into the fire" which locks out the shadow warden dailies.

I tryed yesterday the hawk "exploit" and theres no hawks to mount up for complete the achievement, i will try tomorrow too

I am currently missing 1 elemental for the achievement. Today was wrong elemental.
What i will do is this: i did NOT turn in the quest - in fact, i did not bomb a single mob so far.
At around 2:50 am server time i will go on the hawk, and afk for ~2 hours or so. When i come back, hopefully elemental will have respawned (note: im talking EU time, not US).
Lets see if this works

I will try the same thing, stay online at reset. I assume we just see the phase change cause that is what happened when I logged on today (The hawk was still there but I assume I would have gotten the quest anyways then). Wrong elemental for my last 1 today as well. :<

Okay, here is the report.

I stayed online on the hawk from ~2:30 am till 4:05 am.
At 4:01 am my quests reset. At that specific moment, the elemental despawned and a new one spawned. Unfortunately it wasnt one i wanted, but at least this method works.

Now i just need to find out if i can just keep the quest, instead of having to do the "non-bombing" quest today, so i can bomb tomorrow. Stupid mechanics are stupid.

For the past 4 or 5 days I have always had the hawk when I run up there. Also, once the OBJECTIVE for Into the fire is complete, those quest mobs (the ones around the hawk, as well as the hawk) should spawn. Tonight I'm not going to hand in Into the fire, and see if I can just run up and start my bombing run without doing the previous quests. Sorry if someone has mentioned this before, I had a read but didn't see it.

Something to keep an eye on: wowhead reports are saying that you need to abandon this quest and re collect the hawk after server resets.

It's every other day. One day you will do the "Steal 5 Hatchlings" or "Steal the Egg" and the next day you will get to bomb, guaranteed.

It's been this way for everyone in my guild besides when there have been server restarts which are known to mess with and/or reset the daily "chains".

I do my dailies right as they reset, and I can guarantee you I've had it every other day like you're supposed to, so I never get messed up by the server restarts.

Several people I know had what happened to you happen to them as well after the many restarts a few days ago. Only they weren't as lucky as you and got hatchlings or the egg quest again instead.
