Doesnt work bought 3 of them, had horde "side" tabards in my bank, after relog they switched for horde and lost previous tabards from my bank. 2.5k HK gone..

If you haven't previously been alliance with the tabards you can equip them before they change back for credit with the tabard achievement.

Destroy the horde ones and then buy the alliance ones.
This worked for me.
