Does this still work?
So, shall i create 2 teams: one to lower mmr and after we reach that 0-20 remove that team, make 2nd for cap, right?
And how to use it for 2v2 if i need high rating, for example?
This doesn't work anymore, the MMR system was changed and your team/personal MMR will now gravitate towards the team rating. This is easily tested in game by playing on a higher team, team hopping to a lower rated one and returning to the first team, your MMR will be a lot lower. It punishes people who team hop greatly.
can someone confirm that it no longer works? Or has blizz really fixed mmr...
Test it yourself? I just flat out told you it doesn't work anymore and explained why.
I cannot give you quotes, however I can tell you I am on a very very good pvp server, in a very good guild, and friends with some very high rated players. As it would seem from word of tongue from all these players, The system as is follows; Every time a player joins a new team they lose 200 personal mmr, As well as now, when a say 2700 mmr player joins a team with a 1900 mmr player the 2700 players mmr actually goes down when playing in a way that the next time he plays even if they had won his mmr may be 2650. Sorry if this is confusing its just what I know. FIXED.
It doesn't make you lose any MMR as you join a team. All it does is force your MMR to your team MMR. So if two 3000 MMR players play together, they'd still have 3000 MMR. But if one of them plays a few games with a 1500 and they go 10-1: the 10 wins might improve the 1500 player to 1600 but won't affect the 3000; the 1 lose won't affect the 1500 (now 1600) player but will greatly reduce the 3000 player (to 2900). So if they play just a few games, the 3000 MMR player could easily lose 500 MMR even going 25/5 with 2000 team MMR. Now when he comes back and plays 2s with his 3000 MMR friend, they are now 2500 and 3000 MMR and this time, the 3000 MMR player will lose 100 points every loss.
So effectively, if you team hop with lower MMR players, it will affect the player with the highest MMR (bringing it down) at first and his real partners after (when he joins back and drags them down).
