I farm this with a few friends now or alone with my friends acc.

Im tanking the boss as feral druid and killing the mobs as retri paladin and sometimes shadow priest. rly easy

Decker, read the guide....

You avoid it by AoE'ing down the snakes, away from the boss.

(everyone in the group, must stand on the guy who's AoE'ing)

Yeah its no problem anymore. I just DPS a lot more now. So dont have any problems.

Use a druid tank / paladin ret... Problem before was that I used a prot paladin, not enoth DPS in him =)

As of 04/20/11 this Works GREAT! I farmed by my self as a blood dk for a while then got a mage friend to kill mobs while i tanked boss by door.

Was getting (at revered) 1 bar every 1-2 minutes. Snakes continuously spawn non-stop giving 16 rep on NORMAL mode. ****With normal if you kill the boss you can reset the instance and try again. Would not suggest heroic if you **** up your done for the day

The boss spawns to different types of mobs, when you first encounter him small cobras will come slowly, when the boss reaches 85,000hp (or close to it) he will spawn mini snakes non-stop.

My tip as a blood dk for soloing, single target snakes while doing circles around the room kiting the boss, death strike will heal you up if needed and when he stops to cast heart strike the remaining mobs so not to cleave the boss. PVP trinket can be helpful if you get too many mobs and you get stunned/wrapped by snakes.

Confirmed working as of 4/21/11. I had a rough time in there as a hunter but I brought a priest friend to help out, holy nova for the win. I just let the pet beat the boss down to half then put the pet on passive and let the boss beat on him in a corner while the priest and i ate the little snakes.

Unfortunatley the only tabards that work for this are city tabards. No wrath or cata faction tabards work.

The snake wrap is a bitch, i know....

While doing this i discovered when the snake wrap debuff reaches 5 stacks you actually get a buff for 2 seconds that's called Snake Wrap, and within those 2 seconds you can actually avoid the snake wrap COMPLETELY by canceling the buff by right clicking on it, or do like me and make a a macro:

/cancelaura Snake Wrap

simple as that!

I've tried this time and time again and not getting any rep from the summoned snakes. Tried with all of the city tabards, heroic and normal, and all i get is rep from the normal pack mobs and if the boss dies. My only thought would be maybe it's only for alliance? Can anyone confirm that horde are getting the rep also?
