I looked around and didn't find this posted anywhere, so apologies if it's been posted already. And as far as I'm aware, this is not "common sense", so here we go:
When you're defending in Strand of the Ancients, there's a small delay before the players arrive and the Demolishers are spawned.
Now here's the interesting thing - Demolishers don't count as PVP Objects if they're not being used by players. So at least one CC (Entangling Roots) gets full duration on a Demolisher if you cast on it before any player jumps on it.
When the player jumps the CC will remain. That means you can stop the Demolishers for 30 seconds before they can actually move if no one hits them.
I don't think it's needed for me to say what a massive advantage this is. Even if you CC just one Demolisher, this will allow players to focus-fire on the other one and desync the enemy team. With the Cataclysm changes I've seen one too many matches that happen way too fast with both teams just steamrolling through the doors, so preventing 30 seconds of movement can be game-changing.
As of the time of this post, I've been doing it every SOTA so yes, it's tested.
Have fun.
Edit: It also works on Demos that respawn over the course of the match.
