Extra stats for engineers

Yea I was experiencing the same crap last night, no real solution for that in raids/bgs either since sometimes a bear has to shift out

Or cat. Anyways, if it matters, the PTR has this bug too, so theres a good chance 4.0.6 live has the bug too! I'm almost hit happed as a fury war in pve gear (25.25% hit, need 27) with no hit food or elixir.

Great find, helped my hunter out a lot with crit. Tried to get my friends to try it on their lock and rogue with mastery and it did not work for them, they tried with food buff and with eng tinker and neither would work for them. Any rogue or lock using this trick atm?

So if I get it right, what you have to do is:
1. Get a green pair of gloves with the haste tinker
2. Equip green gear 'of the xxx' and reforge OUT of the stat you want to get
3. Activate haste tinker
4. Equip your regular gear and enjoy the extra stats

If this is how it should be done, then I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but it's not working for me. Tried with PvE and PvP gear.
Any holy paladins got this to work?

Just fyi for people thinkin its only haste tinker and whatnot...this is what I do:

Equip green set like in previous posters video...use a wotlk haste potion (or any potion for that matter...it is NOT dependent on the stats you are trying to keep), get rid of buff or let it expire...put on main set and profit. Did that for literally 35 attempts on Nefarian last night (still didnt ****in matter though...bah)

does this also apply on every piece with spirit? spirit is reforgable and always a white stat.

I tried spirit with the same method I use for crit and it didn't work when I had a green spirit piece reforged off

Just a little update, if you use a one hand weapon and an offhand item set up your set of reforged greens to take off your offhand item. This way when you switch from your normal gear to your reforged greens the reforged stats automatically appear. No haste tinker, food or elixir required. Then switch back to your normal gear and the stats stay. I have only tested this with caster offhands and shields, not sure about offhand weapons and I cannot get it to work with two handers.

Also if you are a feral druid just put your reforged greens on, switch to bear or cat form to gain the reforged stats and then switch back to your normal gear. This will also work for anyone with a feral druid in their party. Have them shift into cat or bear form while you have your greens on and you will keep the reforged stats as long as you keep the leader of the pack buff.

Did you make sure to use gear with WHITE stats on them? Green stats will not work it seems. Helped my buddy out after he'd made a whole second set of gear out of epics and blues and wondered why it did not work.

I'm not getting this to work in instances anymore, either with eng tinker or dodge rating trinket. Still works outside instances tho. Probably hotfixed

Yeah, trying this during raid tonight...exact same way Ive been doing it...and nothing. Pretty sure its been hotfixed...

Don't know what you guys are smoking. I -just- tried it not even 15 seconds ago, still works.

2743 mastery rating in normal setup, do glitch with alternate gear set, put regular gear back on, and im up to 3287 mastery rating.
Also works with my hit gear. 1663 rating -> 2444 rating.

Also latest PTR still has the bug. I have high hopes of it staying after this tuesday's patch.
