Huge extra damage for Shamans

Hi everybody.

And so the history begins ..
I stumbled over this exploit as I was testing out a UI I'm doing to automaticly switch gear depending on what enemies you are fightning as you target them. When I was about to cast a Flametounge Weapon on my mace I targeted an enemy which my UI prefered my faster mace for so it automaticly switched at the same time so my slow mace got the extra proc. damage that the slower one would get after one complete hit after 3.6 secs but my mace got that extra damage after 1.8sec so that means DOUBLE flametounge damage.

How do I recreate this exploit ?
Hopefully you don't need my UI-addon to make this work afaik you only need to switch your maces at the exact same time as you cast your flametounge spell.

How can I use this most effectively ?
The most effective way and to get the best boost out of this exploit would be to have the slowest mace that you can find in-game just to make the extra damage on your faster mace as high as possible then just start to grind.

Haven't this been posted before ?
There have been a method posted where you can get the proc on two weapons but using my method you can get the same amount of extra damage if not even more out of this and still use a nice shield to be able to reduce your down-times for regen while grinding, this was VERY useful for me while grinding this night.

Well it doesn't actually help to spam cause then you might switch to early or to late due to lags. You just have to train to get the right timing in ! It might even be possible if you make two macros and press them right after eachother, haven't tried to do it that way :P

1) Use Shaman Falmetongue. (Gives Extra Offhand DPS, Slower Weapons hit harder from flametongue bug)
2) Find a High Damage / Slow Weapon for your mainhand and equip it.
3) Equip a fast weapon on your offhand.
4) Basically flametongue does the damage of your main hand and the speed of your offhand.

yeah that's the old exploit posted before but the new way I posted gives you the ability to use a shield and still have HUGE DPS :P Nice that you added it into this post to though

Cool and you also don't need to learn dualwield do you?

Nope since you only use one weapon at a time you don't need to learn Dual Wield, myself is Elemental specced so

Sweet me and my friend started dreanei he's a shamman so when he gets a bit higher level and get's some slower maces this will help alot =D
