[Rogue] Omnitron Defense System: Easing healer mana on Magmatron.

Fairly simple exploit, really. I'm not sure if this is intended or not but it does work as of yesterday night - I did it with our successful downing of Omnitron on 10Man Normal.

Essentially, our healers weren't having mana problems but they adopted the mindset that any damage avoided is damage not having to be healed and GCDs not being used healing a DPS standing in fire. This "exploit" will involve two key rogue abilities - Feint and Cloak of Shadows.

If these are not on your action bars, please go and uninstall WoW.

The exploit is this: If you get targeted by Magmatron for "Acquiring Target" - and thus, the AoE cone, you can Cloak the Aquiring Target debuff, which will also prevent the cone from being used completely. Just make sure to cloak when Magmatron is still casting the debuff on you.

Also, not really an exploit but more a helpful tip: Both Incineration Protocol and the fire cone can be Feinted (that is, 50% aoe damage reduction) should the need arise.

I did search and found nothing of note. The auto-thread finder in the thread creation tool only linked something to do with Mana Forge.

Can confirm this. We use it on a daily basis in the guild. Vanish works just as well.. And tbh, it's clearly not an exploit, moere of common sence.

I class an exploit as something Blizzard did not intend to happen. Whilst it may be "common sense", an exploit is still an exploit. I don't think Blizzard intended for you to be able to cloak the debuff. I say this because the debuff - whilst classed as "fire" on wowhead - has no "type". That is, it is not a magic buff, rather it is a physical debuff. Think shouts. Also, can it be vanished? I didn't know that. Saying that, I usually leave vanish for the Execute Phase for more dps.

Many classes can remove or negate the Acquiring target thing.. Vanish, CoS, deterrence, FD, invisibility/Iceblock, AMS etc

WHERE IS THE EXPLOIT?
Everybody who knows how the boss mechanics works, would also know how to avoid massive raid damage.
And he would also know how to use the skills which have been given to his class.
Sure you can cloak it. You can also Vanish it, huh? And would you believe me, if i tell you that a paladin can use "BUBBLE" or a mage could use "Ice Block" for "deleting" the Debuff on himself?!

Please don't start talking about exploits anywhere, if you didn't understand the Bossmechanics...

BTW: Did you see the blue zones which are spawned by Arcanotron? If u stay in it, you're going to deal 100% more damage and you'll regenerate mana! HARDCORE EXPLOIT, or not?
