[Achievment] Still possible to get "Crashin' & Thrashin"

In the year 2008 you recieved "Crashin' Thrashin' Racer Controller" out of a christmas present in front of the christmas tree in ironforge and could do the achievment "Crashin' & Thrashin"

After this year you did not recieve the controller anymore and it seemed that you can´t achieve it anymore

I found another way to do it

In Dalaran is a npc called Jepetto Joybuzz who sells "Blue Crashin' Thrashin' Racer Controller"

If you buy this item and a friend buys another one, you can still do the achievment

You also don´t need to wait till the event appears. You can do it at any day.

I don´t think that Blizzard added this item to make it possible for players to still gain this achievment.

Before I found this item, I asked a gamemaster about the achievments:

"Crashin' & Thrashin" and "BB King"

I was told that it´s not possible for new players to get this achievments anymore. They are still there because people, who got the item from 2008, can still do it

So I think it´s a exploit/bug

It isn't a bug, this item got added, so that new ppl could gain the achi.
Also I know that a new gun will be made, so new people will be able to get the "bb king"

achievements like that are usually looking for the item id in your logs. So you would get it, even if you deleted the item.

But: I've never heared of that FoS and i doubt it's ingame.

The crashin and thrashin car sold in Dalaran has been avaliable since WOTLK launch. It has counted towards the achievement since WOTLK launch.

The only thing you do not get is the Feat of Strength.

Secondly, there is no FoS for the BB gun. Don't spread false information.

I encourage you to take your own advice. The original Racer was the 2008 Winter Veil gift. The Blue Crashin' Thrashin' Racer Controller was added in 3.3.2 - 3.3.3 about a year ago (Feb 2010). It was added just after the Christmas gift was the BB Gun and people complained that they couldn't get the achievement anymore. The rest of what you said is correct.

The OP might want to move this to guides. This is not an exploit.
