    Extra stats for engineers

I found a pretty handy exploit with engineering. This only works on WHITE STATS THAT YOU CAN REFORGE. This means greens like such and such "of the invoker." Say we're using a piece of "of the invoker" gear, and the stats are 245 int and 160 crit rating. You reforge 70 crit rating into 70 haste rating. The stats are now 245 int, 90 crit rating, and 70 haste rating.

All you have to do now is use a pair of gloves with the engineering "Hyperspeed Accelerators." Check your stat sheet, you will have gained back the 70 crit you reforged, and you also keep the 70 haste rating! This means the stats are now 245 int, 160 crit, and 70 haste. This makes greens as good or even better than heroic 346 gear. Enjoy!

This is not client side, tested it myself.

Yup, works with the epics from throne. I don't know if it works with the belt tinker.

What ever you reforged does actually go away as intended after you log off, but as soon as you use the accelerators it comes back.

    Reforged:
    163 Hit (-65)
    To
    65 Crit

    Hit % Before Using Hyper-speed accelerators = % 7.65
    After Using Accelerators = % 8.06

Log off, goes back to %7.65, use accelerators, back up to %8.06.

So the engi enchant doesn't need to be on the actual piece of gear you want to exploit, you just have to have the engi chant on gloves, use it, and all reforged suffix gear will gain their lost stats from reforging back?

    Can this stack? IE:

    Tinker gloves
Reforge for - spirit to + mastery (say for a total of 300 spirit lost)
    Activate tinker
    Restore item
New reforges for - spirit to + mastery (another total of 300 spirit lost)
    Activate tinker
    +600 Spirit for a while

Would I have both applications of spirit returned? Or would I only gain the benefit of the most recent reforge? I can't test due to being temp banned (again, yay), and I have no engineer friends I can contact outside of being ingame.

Yes, but it disappears as soon as you hit any loading screen. Using the gloves again would only give you an extra 300.

edit: I may have misunderstood your post. If you were to reforge all your spirit to mastery and lose 300 spirit in the process, then use the gloves, then restore everything without using the gloves you would have an extra 600 spirit.

I think I confused myself on that one, to be honest. So, the way your edit says is that I reforge, tinker, then restore, I'd get + 300 spirit twice?

Either way, this is a wicked cool trick for engineering. I hope it doesn't get fixed before I get my account unfrozen, because I'd like to play around with this. How do I vote for elite? Because this deserves it.

I've been experimenting with this. Keep in mind that if your gloves are part of a set bonus, you can't change out any other parts of gear that are part of the set. At least that was the case for me; Changing my pvp pants broke the exploit (I have a 2 set bonus with the pants. It might still work if its a 3 set and you chance 1 piece)

Basically, I bought any green that had high crit rating (Seer, invoker, bandit, beast). I have pants + gloves pvp set, so I can't use pants. Also, weapons seem to break the bonus.

I bought helm, neck, shoulders, cloak, chest, bracers, belt, boots, 1 ring and I have an alakir ring too. I reforged all of the crit on those pieces of gear to something else, used the gloves, canceled the buff (Kind of important if you're antsy on re-equipping gear. Equipping your regular epics before the haste buff expires breaks the exploit too), then re-equipped all of my epics and reforged the extra stat off my alakir ring back into crit. I went from 12.27% crit to 15.48% crit. Thats 575 extra crit rating! I can't get the ring crit back after a loading sceen, but I can just buy another green ring for that, so thats roughly 570 extra crit rating from the greens I found. I'll have to find some tank gear to try this out on too. Stack dat mastery!

So Blehmeh are you able to keep your "buff" after changing zones? And did you put hyperspeed on your epic gloves that you use?

Blehmeh, you are keeping the extra rating, even after changing back into your regular gear? interesting.........

No, I need to re-equip my green gear, use the glove haste tinker, wait for it to expire or click the buff off, then equip my regular epics. And yes, you need to keep the gloves that originally had the haste tinker on; it seems the extra stats are 'locked' in those gloves. The extra rating may go away if you get a buff directly affecting the rating you're buffing; I did this for mastery for my tank set, and my extra mastery rating disappeared when I drank a mastery elixir and ate mastery food, so I put my greens on (they had mastery refoirged out of them), used tinker (yes, need to have haste tinker on tank gloves for this), clicked off buff, put my regular gear on, and had about 3 extra mastery skill after.

if you do this method i described, dont use the tinker afterwards, or you lose the extra stats and need to re-equip the greens and all that stuff again.

edit: My mastery proc trinket -DID- clear off the extra mastery gained through this glitch.
edit2: my throngus finger and impetupous query (both a proc and on-use respectively with non-mastery boosts) also cleared the buff. I'm beginning to wonder if windwalk clears it.

edit3: My Impatience of youth and figurine - king of boars (mastery passive + strength on use) do NOT clear the stats. My windwalk DOES clear it. It seems that any secondary stat procs/buffs that occur while the stats are locked in your gloves will clear the locked stats. This means my landslide does NOT clear it (its attack power, not reforgable). My two DPS trinkets (Impatience + license to slay) both proc strength and do not cause the stats to drop.

edit4: Offhand reforges do not count towards this exploit and switching offhands causes the extra stats to disappear

edit5: More testing. Apparently you can even swap gloves. Epic gloves (with armor tinker if you want for tanking. Used it and extra stats did not fall off. Untested with other tinkers) -> Green gloves with mastery reforged off + 240 haste tinker -> use 240 haste tinker -> click off 240 haste buff or wait for buff to fade -> put back on epic gloves. You should retain all the mastery that was reforged off of the earlier green gloves. I went even further with this and checked if the stats are even locked to the glove slot. Apparently the stats will stay unless you change your mainhand / offhand / ranged (unsure if relics cause loss of stats). I went completely naked except for 1h, shield, and gun, and I had about 700 mastery rating even though I only have about 200 mastery rating from weapons and shield. Swapping or removing any of those 3 slots makes the stats go away for me.
I also noticed that my extra mastery was fading sometimes in fights in my last heroic. However, I tested all my abilities on a test dummy and found none of them causes the stats to fade, which either leads me to think that an external buff/debuff is messing up the stats. I was using a different weapon (Just mending enchant instead of windwalk which causes the buff to drop). I have yet to find out which ones reset the stats though. Stay tuned for more updates.

Edit6: I decided to make a video in case people are confused. Also, I obviously don't care if you know my name or whatever. I made the video of the global cooldown hack back in 3.3.5 (Which some music company paid me 20 bucks to change the sound to their music lewl) that showed my name and everything, and not even as much as a single whisper/mail/temporary ban came from it. It did get fixed pretty fast though. :P
