I noticed a little trick when leaving Twin Peaks tonight and thought I'd share it here. When searching I found the following thread which covers the general idea but doesn't really explain it very well:

For a Retribution Paladin, our level 85 spell Guardian of Ancient Kings summons a non-controllable pet that attacks enemies. Each time it lands an attack it stacks a buff on the Paladin called Ancient Power that increases your strength by 1% per stack up to 10%. After 10% the Guardian will dissipate unleashing some damage a'la Shadowmourne in a frontal cone.
If you join a BG and summon your Guardian of Ancient Kings and then leave the BG before your Guardian dissipates, you will maintain the stacking buff with no expiration. The same applies the other way around such as dueling someone or attacking an elite mob and then
joining a Battleground. When you enter the BG you will have the buff with no expiration.
The best part about this is that it seems the Ancient Power buff has no limit which means you could repeat this process ad infinitum to increase your strength by something obscene. I have only gone a bit beyond 20 stacks of the buff myself but I see no reason why it wouldn't continue to stack beyond using this exploit.
Can you say Reckoning Bomb v2.0? Imagine the possibilities.....
