Guardian of Ancient Kings

Bugs with this ability have been mentioned before, I just accidentally found an easy way to use it. Activate guardian of the ancient kings (as ret) and enter any portal (e.g. the ones in your main city). Now you will get a stacking str buff every time you attack - granting you 1% str per stack, up 20%. The stacks themselves have a 30 second duration but the buff will stay until you die - in which case you can simply use the guardian again and reenter a portal.
I suppose it works in dungeons/raids as well (and BGs if you don't die).

Also the buff stays if you switch specs, so you can have the 20% str for prot as well.

Good to know it still works however, I'll be sure to have my paladin friends use this while we do that trick in BoT for trash farming!

Not working, just tested.
I did it this way: Was is orgrimmar, took a portal to orgrimmar, went to dummies with 6secs before my GoAK expired, stacked buff 5 times, then the cd went off and so did the buff.

I know its been posted before, I was just suggesting a reliable and easy way to get it, without waiting for bg queues etc.

When you enter the portal, it shows the guardian buff and a duration, wait for it to expire and then go hit stuff.

It Works for me going through the portals, but i cant get it to work in a raid

Not working, just tested.

Because you did it wrong. You have to take an instance portal (the dark portal from eastern kings -> outland, or the various raid or 5 man portals, etc)

could you go a little more into detail, how you get this to work?

so far i tried a portal in og (to vashir) and the dark portal, but it didnt work for me.

when i summoned the guardian and went through the portal, the guardian was gone and i couldnt apply stacks.
(1-2 sec loading screen!)
