Enter another player's lockout to a saved heroic

Okay, I discovered this today by accident. As far as I know, it only works for heroics (I did it for Sethekk) and these are only the steps that *I* took. It may be much simpler, but this is a 100% way to recreate it.

    1) Have a friend who is saved to a heroic (without the boss you want to kill down)
    2) Enter the heroic by yourself and kill the boss(es) you need
    3) Leave the instance, have the friend invite you to a group (I was invited to a raid and I don't think it makes a difference but if a regular party doesn't work, try a raid)
    4) Re-enter the instance, kill the boss(es) you need

So, you get saved, leave and enter another player's lockout - sounds way too simple to be true. Investigation will commence shortly.

I should specify--I didn't realize I was entering his lockout (I was invited to the raid while making a corpse run) and even though I'd killed the first boss in my lockout and looted him, I cleared to him, killed him and looted him AGAIN on the way to Anzu. Then I noticed that Anzu was gone (because the raid leader had stealthed through and killed him), which confirmed I was on his lockout (he was the only person in the raid of 4 people who was saved to Sethekk and had done it earlier in the day). So I dropped raid, re-entered, and it was cleared past the first boss to where I was before I did the corpse run. If you have a friend who doesn't mind helping you out (or someone you can pay), you can 100% get multiple attempts at this. I suggest you try it out yourself. I'll be flying tomorrow but if nobody else has tested it by Monday, I'll do it and take screenshots.

I also never technically got saved to his lockout. I was able to enter, kill a boss, loot that boss, and leave without being saved or getting a notification about getting saved. I had already been saved to my own lockout and entered again after getting the kill.

so with this it would be possible to kill anzu over and over on the same day?

    Eg...
    You go kill Anzu.
Another person goes into his own instance, kills last boss, not killing anzu.
    He invites you to raid.
    You go kill anzu...

The steps you say sound way too generic and common for it NOT to be already discovered...
Will give it a try later tho

Could be a possibility. But then you'd think he'd notice that the mobs were just 67-68 elites.

Actually scratch that, guess it could be possible to not notice that
