Dual Wield as Elemental

UPDATE: This appears to be a zoning bug that not everyone has. alot of other ppl are saying their off hand is still broken after re-zoning.

here's a pretty simple exploit i found out by accident on how to dual wield as elemental or resto(i haven't tested it in resto).

1. learn duel spec and make an enhancement spec and elemental spec.

2. switch to your enhance spec and equip both weapons.

3. switch to elemental. as you will see you will have both weapons in their appropriate slots however you have only 1 weapon in your hand and have a broken weapon symbol(see below).



4. teleport to another zone, for example, use your hearth from ironforge to dalaran. you have to switch zones, when i used my hearth while in dalaran it did not work.

5. your broken weapon symbol is gone and you can now benefit from both weapons and weapon enchants, 2 flametongues.

The points is that you can wield 2 weapons, while in elemental spec, which means more stats and 2 flametongue weapons

this is working for ages but after a loading screen you wont be able to dual wield anymore.
Maybe it has been changed with the patch but try it and port to dalaran to test it plx. if it works: congratz to the incomming rep

I have been using this exploit for about 3 or 4 days now. it will not go away until you switch to a different spec, then all you have to do is do the steps over again. It lasts through logout too.

you're kidding right? more like 300+ sp bc of the flametongue, you can reforge agility on the off hand wapon to more haste or crit, and an extra weapon enchant like black magic.

Wrong. You can't reforge primary stats (Stam, strength, agility, and intel). Your best bet is to either -hope- you get an extremely high level agil weapon with crit and haste, or go to karazhan and do the opera event and hope you get the dagger with 3 sockets (Put intel gems in there)

ah sorry bout that, thx for correcting me. I still think this is superior to a shield seeing how weapons offer about 3/4 of the haste and crit a shield of equal item level would give

Have you all failed to realise that this has been around for ages?
This is the same as speccing into Enhancement (Or how ever you spell it) Getting duel weild.
Equipping two weapons.
The respeccing back to Elemental.

So yea you would rather wear a shield that gives 120~ sp vs using a 2nd dagger with crit & haste, +63sp enchant, and another application of flametounge weapon (which is 295 spellpower and 2% crit if glyphed).

Also i can confirm this as working.

Nice trick man.
And to anyone saying this has been around for ages, true.
But the OH used to be red, therefore useless.
Something has changed and with the re-zoning allows the OH to actually be used.
