Easy Less-Rabi 4.0.1

Just recently did Less-Rabi, found an incredibly easy way to down him.

A Moonkin's Solar Beam (10 Second Silence, 15 glyphed). We had a disc priest (Smite spam healing), Moonkin, Shadowpriest, Fury Warrior, Frost Death Knight.

We downed the boss to ~75% or so, then popped the silence and nuked the boss with 5 dps, no hero.

So the "exploit" is that the boss shouldn't be silence-able, but is affected by solar beam. As long as you have enough DPS for a 20second 300k health nuke, you're fine.

Just tried this! Works great. Our moonkin had Solar Beam glyped so it was a 15 second silence... it was pretty funny...makes it a tank-and-spank.

While doing ToGC 25 with my guild, I (mostly because I was bored) cast solar beam on the Val'kyr Twins just before an ability was to be used, and it apparently stopped the heal cast before the shield went up, which subsequently confused the hell out of my guild as they questioned why there was no cast bar. Not many people may run ToGC at all anymore, but if you happen to its an interesting mini exploit, as obviously you are not meant to interrupt the cast before the shield goes up. I'm not sure if it works on vortexes, I only know it works on heals.

No problem.

Yeah, I think Blizzard just forgot to add Solar Beam to the list of Silences that bosses are immune to; or they made it so that it can be used (as its AoE), but I don't think its working as intended.

Confirmed, just ran with 3 boomkins taking turns and he NEVER attempted to cast.

This also works on the Stormcaller dude in Ulduar's Iron Council, giving you an extra 15 seconds of no damage besides his auto attack. I'm guessing that any boss with an interruptable spell can be affected by this. Nice find!

I did this couple of days ago with 2 moonkins, and i felt it was surprisingly easy.. this is probably why, nice find

This still works, i did this on 11-12-10, Ran 1 Tank ( me ), 4 DPS, 1 Boomkin, i Interputed the first one with HoJ, And just as i did that, he put the light up, and EASILY burned.
