4.0.1 No dungeon deserter debuff on randoms, almost instant random requeues

Have the trick or treat debuff on you

    Join a random heroic

Right click portrait and leave group IMMEDIATELY if it isn't the random you want

And to sweeten the deal, I found a way to reset the random dungeon finder cooldown, just queue up for a Headless Horseman run, take the 2 minutes to down him, and it resets.

Leaving a Headless Horsemen run with the Trick or Treat debuff will give you the deserter debuff.

I'm using this personally to try to get more oculus randoms, gotta get that drake

Edit: Found a way to reset dungeon finder cooldown
Edit 2: Apparantly you need to leave very quickly or you get the debuff
    Edit 3: Screenshots added

I just tried again on both my tanks.

On one I left immediately, less then 3 seconds after getting in the instance, it didn't debuff me

The other I waited 20 seconds and left, it debuffed me.

So it seems to have something to do with when the server considers you in a heroic run, or something.

Just tried a few more times, seems to work less consistently now.

Left two quick, one got a debuff.

Could you please explain this more? As i cant figure it out.

I did the following and it did not work :
Step1: Did a random LK Heroic dungeon (Drak'Tharon Keep)
Step2: Killed all bosses in it and got myself saved
Step3: After that i left the dungeon.
Step4: Once i was back in town i joined a queue for a Headless Horseman run.
Step5: Killed him and left the raid.
Step6: After getting back to dal i noticed i was still saved too my random LK Heroic dungeon (Drak'Tharon Keep)

My thing lets you spam the random dungeon option back to back, so you could effectively choose what dungeon your random was, (In my case, I look for Oculus), not clear dungeon saves you've already done.

Okay, the OP was wrong. It doesnt matter if you leave party in first 1 second or first 10 minutes.
what it DOES matter is that there is NOBODY ELSE IN THE INSTANCE when you leave the party.

Let me put it this way. You accept the dungeon queue and you are on loading screen. Its halls of stone (oh no!). You appear inside, and right click -> leave, and there is nobody else inside yet (they are still loading). You will NOT get debuff.
If there is ANYONE else inside, you WILL get debuff, even if you leave using macro in first nanosecond.
