[EPIC Possibilities] Remove Enemy Flight Masters

Many people are going to hate me for posting this, but... who cares, here it goes anyways...

I was bored looking for things to kite. After about an hour or two I found the best thing to kite. No it doesn't kill lowbies. But it can cripple the enemy faction. I went to burning steppes and kept casting curse of weakness on the flight master, I killed the wyverns while I was running. I brought him all the way to the human starting area, opened fraps, and hit record then my wow crashed.

This alone is fairly un-eventful, but to those of you dedicated enough you can start a massive raid for kidnapping ALL the horde flight masters, or atleast the main ones. Kite them to a remote area with people of the same faction you trust not to kill him. You all can meet up with different flight masters that are on the same continent. Major cities will be crippled and can easily start a major faction war. You could demand gold from the other faction with a lowbie alt to return them but I doubt it will be paid haha. I'm sure trade chat would be interesting to read none the less. Enjoy!

Blizz eventually stepped in and killed the flight masters though.

But not to take away from your idea. It would still be truly epic to pull off, even if the boys in blue will end your fun sooner or later.

But yeah, this has been happening throughout wow's history. On my server back in BC, they took the flight masters from Org, Ratchet, Crossroads, and iirc Thunder Bluff. Then, they hid them in a bear cave up in Darkshore, with people spamming horde trade to buy the 500g motes of shadow up on neutral AH.
Almost always ends in a gank squad or a gm saying "Ok, you've had your fun" and respawning them.

Interesting, I was a little worried when I first did it, I was trying to see if it was a bannable offense. I googled spawn camping flight masters but it prooved to be of little effort. I figured if anything they would pst a warning. It would be pure epic to see the 4 main city flight masters get kidnapped, and X-Roads haha. Can horde heal their flightmasters? If someone had an alt on the other faction they could simply de-curse the flight master or heal them if GM's stepped in. I'm sure that wouldn't go well with the higher ups tho.

Instead of a ransom, you could keep it on the hush hush and it would take alot longer to detect

I think you need to hit him with a spell every few yards so he doesnt run back to his spawn point

Indeed, it's better than spawn killing, you can bring them anywhere and they won't respawn til they die and you don't have to stay in the horde town, you could be miles away

Well then this is basically kiting, which has been a known 'exploit' for a very long time.

This probably wouldn't work due to mobs only being able to be kited a certain distance prior to returning to their original spawn location, this was implemented back in vanilla when people used to kite dragons into Stormwind from half way accross the globe.

Those were the days.

Someone recently posted that you could get around mobs being leashed at a certain point by having your pet attack the mob. So, that's not really an issue.

Seeing as I kited a flight master from IF to undercity this week, it does not appear that these mobs have any specific "respawn" points:

Anyway, I've been personally trying to get some epic kiting moments before Cata. If someone knows any mobs that posses the ability to mind control in outdoor areas, please let me know, send me a PM or something. I'd really hate to level my hunter just to be able to kite Doctor weavil somwhere.. though sure if you posess a hunter, that's probably one of the most rewarding Vanilla bosses to kite.
