No you most likely wont get a ban for this just tell them you thought it was a cool name, been reported 3 times for it got a name change each time (Free from blizz) and not even an account warning..the GM was nice each time and pretty much said "It would suck to have a name people can't say" or something along these lines.

Just as update, each of these (http://www.mmowned.com/forums/world-...ml#post1939212) names worked for me on german servers, so I think this works on all servers. Even when I write rn instead of m so you got much names.

The reason to why you cannot say "mmo inn" Is cuz MMOinn was a famous gold selling site that advertised alot in game, In fact I used it to scam people back in vanilla.
The same goes for "mmo champ", MMOchamp is also a gold selling site.

Yes, you have to have spam filter on but its defaulted as on, I just asked 50 people on my server in whispers 46 of them said yes they have it on, thats 92% which seems about right.

Not exactly the same thing as in the OP and throughout this thread, but I'll add to this one since it's along a very similar vein.

The name 'None' is glitched in that you do not show up properly on healing/dps meters (you do, but with maybe 5% of what you actually did). You are also unable to be removed from party and raid groups (though the dungeon finder kick probably still works). If they try to boot you, I believe they get an error. This name grants you the right to leave on your own accord.

I didn't know people used the mature chat filter, that's why some of you can say the phrases and others can't so some people will still be able to say your name. :P

if you're not sure what you want to name a new toon you are making you can name him this, and later on report yourself to blizzard complaining you cannot say your toons name, this is better than making it something racist or bad because that could result in a ban this could not.

I was going to point out as soon as I read this that it's because of MMOinn, but clearly a lot of people picked that up.

However, I would say there is a risk of ban if you get reported, or report yourself and the GM is under the impression that you are advertising for the website. Probably a very low risk though.

TOTALLY off topic. I played CS:S in a clan with someone with that name, either that or he was on the forum a lot. lol.
