Choose Dungeon AND Get Credit for Doing a Random Heroic

Alright, so basically this is what happens...

There is a way to lock yourself to dungeons, therefore rendering yourself unable to enter it through the random LFG system. You choose a dungeon(s), and still get the extra Frost or Triumph emblems and the 26g or the 13g.

Press "O" to open up your social window.
Go to the raid tab. Click the button that says Raid Info.



Now, you should have a list of dungeons/raids that you have done. Lock yourself to the ones you DO NOT want to get queued to.



Open your LFG window, and go to the Specific Dungeon tab. You will see that you are locked to certain ones.



As you can see, I locked myself to everything but DTK, HoL, CoS, Nexus, and ToC.
Once you're done with that, queue for random Lich King heroic, and you will be in one of the ones you did NOT lock yourself to.

I thought you still had the chance to be put in a heroic even if you are locked to it - just a lower chance than the other ones. Think about what would happen otherwise if you got locked to all heroics then clicked for a random.

Another point .. why the hell would you want to spend THAT long locking yourselves to all those heroics when it would take you about 1/5th of the time just to do a random.

Edit: Never mind the second thing I saw that you extended all the old heroic locks, you didnt run them all xd

I don't think you understand... you don't have to do the dungeon to lock yourself... You just have to have done it once, and you can lock yourself with the raid info window.

Edited my post before you said that! Anyway I still don't think this will 100% stop you going in one of the heroics you are locked from... as it is random so it would take along time grouping depending on what different players are locked to.

I thought that being locked meant you couldn't be in that dungeon -- Anyway, that doesn't make this totally useless.

if you are locked to it, you can't do it again...u can still go INTO it, but if its cleared there will be no boss/trash and your group will be alerted that its a fail fully run.

however i would think that the system prioritizes the nonlocked ones first. as for "if all are locked" im clueless but i would think it goes back to any dungeon has equal chance, but its empty.

Very nice try.
However, the random LFG system totally disregards instance locks. I've gotten HoS three times in a row, and completed every boss all three times. Nice idea though.

I had planned on saying this, however it seems you have got the job done.

Wrong, if you get a dungeon as a random which you're saved to then all bosses will be alive.
