[Exploit] Get one more pet for achievement

First of all there are two things you need to fulfill:

a) There is no authenticator attached to your account and never has been
b) You need a friend or someone you trust who got an authenticator
c) optional: voice chat is very helpful here for method b (if you are paranoid or don't really trust your friend)


Method A (you trust your friend):
1) Give you account details to your friend
2) He logs into you battle.net account
3) He attaches his authenticator to your account
4) Log in, loot core hound
6) Let your friend detach his authenticator from your account


Method B (you are paranoid/don't really trust your friend)
1) Log into your battle.net account
2) Add authenticator
3) Tell your friend in voice chat/messenger to send you his auth key
4) If you entered the key, tell him to send you a message with a generated code (needed to activate)
5) Log in, loot core hound
6) Detach the authenticator, you need two following generated codes to do that


Be aware that you cannot use your core hound after the authenticator was detached. You cannot summon him anymore. But it counts for the achievement as the flying machines and carpets do for the mounts achievement although you gave up on engineering/tailoring. I hope it helps some to get this one.

As I am not using any game master help for this I would not call it a repost of the mentioned thread. To be exact I am doing something completely different.

And about the desktop authenticator: it's definitely more work to get it running. My opinion.

It's not really a repost, but more like an idea you got from his post.

Regardless of how you do this, its not an exploit.

An exploit would be you somehow acquiring the pet without ever putting an authenticator on your account. YOUR "exploit" is simply to put an authenticator on your account, then remove it. That is working as intended, because you're doing the required steps to get the pet.

For goodness sake people, stop with the corehound "exploits". Tell me how to get one without an authenticator or go home.

The point is that it is not intended that you have the corehound in your collection but you can't summon it because you don't have an authenticator BUT it does count for the achievements. That's what I mean with the exploit in this case. This is not intended.

you actually "unlearn" the spell to summon the core hound and its deducted from your pet count after few days
i tried it 2 weeks ago then i thought it worked but suddenly after few days i found out i dont have the icon/pet count dropped
