this will only work with green weapons anyways (no epic SP weps are offhand anymore) so its a GS loss unless you equip a useless melee dps wep.

This is Incorrect. Back in TBC beta, enhancement shamans were using caster weaponsx2 with duel flametongue to buff their instant cast lavaburst.

Yes, there was one lvl70 epic spellpower-wep which was not Main Hand. They changed that.

And what some other posters have said, your second weapon is 'nullified' the second you lose dual-wield ability, the same as with warriors these days.

If you look closely, you will notice in his screenshots that he does not have the duel talent ability to switch between specs. Since the screenie doesnt have duel speccing(wich is what you require, but you do not have it on your shaman?).
So in my opinion i think this guy is playing you all.

same as with fury warrior, if you wield two 2handers and go arms/prot the weapons still appear if you press c but if you attack something it appears you dont have any weapons and you dont get stats from offhand weapon
