Change gems inside your Blue Sack of Gems

After doing an Occulus run today for EoF, I got a Blue Sack of Gems from the last chest. I opened the bag with a full inventory, and had 2 Sky Sapphires inside along with the Emblems.

I closed the bag, left the dungeon, and sold stuff in Ironforge. When I reopened the bag, I had 2 Scarlet Rubies inside now. Much better gem color on my server.

1. Get Blue Sack of Gems
2. Open with full inventory (or not auto-looting should work)
3. If gems are likeable, take them
3a. If gems are not likeable, pass through a loading zone.
4. Reopen bag of gems

Repeat 3-4 till you get the gems you want.

If you have a full inventory, unless you already have some of the gems in your bags how would you loot them? :P Just turning off autoloot and don't shift click to open the bag should work.

Hm wonder if you might be able to reload bag with a drake inside it? :0

If it refreshes the whole loot inside, I think yes, you can get drake from the bag, Im gonna try it as soon as the wednesday maintenance is over.

Well, even if i doubted it, i did try.

Run through Occulus, got the blue gem's bag, Watched inside : 1 Monarch Topaz (english name i guess) & 2 Triumph.

Got Back to Dala, watched again > Same.
Got into Conquest Island & Back to town > Same
Disconnected > Again > Same

I've done some stuff & all before :
1 hour after it, got grouped in ICC10 , watched again > TWO Monarch Topaz 2 Triumph.

I'm perfectly sure that it wasn't one before it.


I'm not trying to credit this exploit (as it seems to be random) but please, try as i've done & report to see if it's a pattern (grouping, raiding ? reloading game, switching Zone)


Hope i've been clear enough (frenchie's here) to explain how it did to me.

Beside : I still haven't looted it, @6hours after occulus, & it's still 2 triumph & topaz

tested by zoning 4 different times (port out of instance, hearth, kirin tor ring and crusader tabard).

also gonna confirm that this doesn't work...I just got occulus as the random for the first time and I check before I left and after I left the instance, and they were the same gems.
