You will need an avg wait time for your role to be almost nothing.

Step 1: Que for your specific Lich Kings Heroic

Step 2: Wait for at least two other people to join (hover over the LFG icon and wait until two of the icons turn colored)

Step 3: Leave the que and immediately join for LFG random, I found that I will get the specific I was qued for about a third of the time

There's 2 extra badges and 13-20g for a heroic you wanted to run.

I'm dps, it takes long enough to get a group as it is, I don't like the idea of joining a specific, leaving it when ahlf of the players have been collected, then starting at the bottom of the random queue, seems worthless to me.

Depends on the battlegroup an time of day really, I've had 1min ques as dps, though never instant.

3. join queue for RANDOM dungoen
4.profit 1/3 of the time

He means that if they only need 2 more players for that specific dungeoun and you and your friend wanna go. You simply join for it alone. wait for 3 of the icons gets colored. then you can fast leave the system, and join for a random one in group with your friend.

The other group needed 2. You are 2. So the chance for you to join the group you just left, is increased.

What you are basically doing is reserving a spot for yourself, luck included. It's not really a bug in game mechanics so i wouldn't call it an exploit

I never said anything about using a second person in your group... infact I think that would decrease your chances.

This pretty much is having the system create a dungeon for you, but you drop, so that group still needs one more of your class. You then queue for a random and that same group happens to still need your class, so it re-puts you in the group again, but this time it is queued as a 'random' for you.

Makes sense if the LFD and LFRandom are in the same set (which I'd wager they are). Thanks for the tip, I'll try this out!

If I understand correctly, he's saying that you can turn looking for a specific dungeon into looking for a random dungeon for the extra gold and badges so long as you're queued role is the one which is empty due to the queue prioritizing which takes place for a group which has just lost someone. Since the system (at least theoretically) "gets rid" of groups as fast as it can, that means of the three types to queue as (Tank, Healer, DPS) -- at least one is always empty, since as soon as someone queues for that role, the group is filled, ready check begins, the instance is created, and the group zones in.

Example:
(1) Tank queues up for Heroic Nexus only
(2) Role check starts up (indicating that the system has found a full group for Heroic Nexus, pulling from both people queued for Heroic Nexus and for Random Heroic)
(3) Leave the queue (before the role check completes to avoid getting the deserter flag)
(4) Rejoin the Random Heroic queue ASAP and so long as there isn't another Tank ahead of you in line, you get your old spot back, only now as a Random Heroic instead of having queued specifically for Heroic Nexus
(5) Group zones into Heroic Nexus so long as at least one other group member had queued for that specific dungeon rather than a Random Heroic

Step five is just a guess, the system may hard lock which dungeon at the initial creation attempt. Don't think we'll ever get a blue confirmation on how that works though.

Also, this won't work unless your role is the one which is totally empty -- it can't be "almost immediately" it has to actually be immediately. In other words this will only work for DPS if in your battlegroup more people queue up as Tank and/or Healer only -- something I've never seen or heard of.

Well no, but you can use this method to make sure that the "Random Heroic" you get is one you like running, or one of the new Icecrown ones if you're hunting gear there.

Also, in fairness to Vixxi, this is a rather convoluted method of achieving a bit of extra gold and two extra badges.
