    Safely Activate Deathbound Ward in Icecrown Citadel

    ** I haven't seen anything like this posted before so here goes. Also, if you don't feel this is an exploit please feel free to move to the guides section, however I don't think blizz intended for it to work quite like this. **

    In Icecrown Citadel there are large Deathbound Wards that will spawn via hidden traps in some rooms. The Deathbound Wards are large skeleton's with a deadly cleave, and are initially stationary and untargetable while on the wall. They look like this:



    The traps can be seen by rogues and look like this:



    The exploit is to have a warlock use Eye of Kilrogg to walk over and trip this trap. It will free the Deathbound Ward and your raid will then be able to pull it without worrying about the other groups around the room.



    This can also be pulled by a rogue and vanish or a hunter and feign, however these other methods aren't as safe. Might also be able to use the Race Car toy to pull too, but you might also get the groups using that.

    Hope this saves a couple wipes!

    We just have a rogue mark it with a Elune stone or banner so the raid can see where it is, then when we want to pull them we stand in them...
    Every1 knows Jesus was a shaman, think about it the reincarnate, the waterwalking... comon he was cc'd d for days!

    Why not have that rogue disarm it?

    Agreed, which was basicly the whole point of finding these.
    However, it takes longer for a single, or maybe two rogues to find and disarm then than to just trigger the alarm without risking a wipe.

    Because of the reputation

    People wants reputation. Usually when my guild doesnt have a warlock in the group, we just sacrifice our rogue.

    In the future I'm sure we will, however right now they are an easy (albeit long) kill, and the +75 rep is very welcome to all of us as we want our rings!
