With the battered hilt in 3.3 it is possible well having the quest An audience with the acanist it is possible to walk in with the tabard equipped and utilize the alliance wintergrasp portal!

how is this beneficial?

that is a non-factional portal. it doesnt change

anyone who can get into the keep can use the portal.. I run there really fast and use it before the alliance kill me all the time

my mistake i ment within the silver enclave not within wintergrasp fortress. The buff doesn't even work in wintergrasp

I attempted this today and it did not work. Even after getting into the room, I was still unable to even right click the portal
