well, honestly, i dont think they will ban because;
remember when patch 3.3 hit, with the new LFG system where you get 2 emblems of frost for your first random heroic each day?
you were able to do that over and over again for the emblems of frost.
No one that i know that did this got banned or got their emblems removed, they just hotfixed it.

could be the same with this.

Its not as if its some magical bug that gives you the honor to buy them.

Getting banned for this? if you resell the Star's Lament or the potions you earn aprox 20silver per 8 honor.

Id say they just had this one 5 silver better then the other parts.
Getting banned for this is not something Id say they do, someone mentioned about the scepter, imo thats a whole different thing.

Buy 20 of the item using (if 13 is in fact the position of the gem):

/run for i=1,20 do BuyMerchantItem(13)end

It will skip the buy confirmation too.

On my server (Ahn'Qiraj EU) i can buy only stack 20 for 8 honor, and sell it for 1s 25c..
So it's 117 gold, if my maths is good
